TERSIA COOPER

I am an animal empath who feels what they are feeling so deeply that I absorb their emotions. To me every living being has a soul which reflects in its eyes.

My Art Story started on a deeper level: the sad, tragic and traumatic event where an young elephant bull was shot while charging the small hiking group I was part of. His unnecessary death left me with guilt and extreme sadness. Their innocence and vulnerability together with each animal’s energy and aura was something I had to capture on canvas: my canvas became a haven where they could live forever, protected and unharmed. This is still my goal when painting. 

 

I currently stay in my happy bubble in Knysna with husband Ricky and Jack, our Scottish terrier.

 

I truly believe that art is a Gift from God.
